Go Baguio! Your Complete Guide to Baguio City, Philippines

Number Coding Scheme

Baguio City implements a
vehicular traffic reduction
scheme to decongest the
Central Business District on
weekdays from 7am to 7pm.

This is similar to that being
imposed in Metro Manila,
Philippines, except that the
restriction is limited to the
business center only, and not
where most tourist attractions
are located and in the outlying
residential areas of the City of
Pines.

Vehicles are enjoined from entering restricted areas according to the schedules listed below, based on the last digit of the vehicle's plate number.*

Restricted areas are limited to those surrounding Session Road, Burnham Park, Baguio City Market in general, and rest assured there are routes that can be taken to avoid passing the city center, which is crowded because offices, businesses and the big schools are located there..

This restriction is usually lifted during holidays, festivals like
the very popular Panagbenga, and the summer months to
accommodate Baguio visitors -- and since the city center is
congested mainly because of the Baguio schools which do
not have too many students on those days anyway.

Exemption passes may be bought upon arrival for same price as the violation penalty, which is Php500.00.
